Data platforms for healthcare and digital health
Health data has to be useful to marketing and finance while staying safe enough to survive an audit. I built the data and ML foundation for a direct-to-consumer health company handling protected health information and card data.
What is different about health data
Most companies can treat access control as something to tighten later. A health company cannot. Protected health information, personal data, and card numbers often sit in the same customer record, and each carries its own rules about who can see it, where it can go, and how long you keep it.
The pressure runs the other way too. A growing digital health business needs marketing, sales, and finance working from the same numbers, quickly. The platform has to make regulated data useful without making it visible to people who should not see it.
Where I help
- Privacy built into the platform. Tokenization, redaction, encryption backed by a key management service, fine-grained access, and audit-ready logging, aligned to HIPAA, PCI DSS, and SOX.
- One governed source of truth. Marketing, sales, finance, and regulated customer data in one warehouse, modeled once, with self-service analytics on top.
- Numbers you can defend. Quality rules with SLAs, monitoring, and CI checks, so the figures hold up in a board meeting or a due diligence room.
- Models into production. A path from experimentation to scheduled scoring with CI gates, on data that stays inside its controls.
Working in healthcare?
Bring the number that moved or the bill that grew. You will leave the call with a first read and a straight answer on whether I can help.
